Laura's Quilt

During the summer of 2011 I created a quilt for a baby in my home church.

As you can see I have stitched well known animals, namely a tortoise, duck, bunny, whale, pig and caterpillar.

The fabrics I used were purchased in Fashion and Fabrics, St. Albans. Below are some closeups of three of the animals. As you can see I have used contrasting colours for thread and material e.g. blue and yellow.

This quilt is now the property of Laura Grace Patrick - my god-daughter!

I sold a piece of work!!

After finishing my A levels I did an art foundation course for a year in my home town, St Albans.
I did this from September 2010 to June 2011.

In about April/May 2011 I created a car dump piece, which used material, paper, sugar paper and paint. I used machine stitching to attach the material cars to the paper which I had already screen printed a car dump on to.

We  had an exhibition in a gallery in town at the exhibition, where someone offered £120 for it!

It is currently in Germany.

Below are some pictures; of the full piece, a zoomed in version of the top left-hand side and a zoomed in version of the right middle side.
